![]() It's a bigger game, though as have Fatal Frame 1 & 2 in this engine in this theoretical "stepping ladder" method, they could port the rooms that were used in Fatal Frame 3's Dream Manor to cut down some of the work.īut if they go through with this, then every main Fatal Frame game both runs in the same engine, has a similar gameplay style of similar fidelity, and can be ported to any future platforms easily enough making the whole series very accessible. Obviously doing a remake from scratch is a bigger endeavor than remastering a game, but it'd be a very doable Remake I feel.Īnd finally, if that does well, then I do suspect the obvious: It's honestly not a super big game to be remade, the first Fatal Frame is a lot smaller in scale than every other entry. Which, if that comes to pass they may stop there, but I theorize it won't. Obviously if they do it they'll upgrade the graphics like FF4, but I actually suspect this Remaster will also add more new content since FF2 is the fan favorite entry and I can see them wanting to spruce it up more). Remaster Fatal Frame 2 Wii Remake (Never released in North America, in the same engine as FF4 so now have a process set-up like FF4 to port it to the FF5 engine. ![]() Remaster Fatal Frame 4 (Porting it to the FF5 engine while also upgrading the graphics, giving it English subbing, bigger endeavor than FF5 Remaster but also finally brings this title outside of Japan).Īnd if this succeeds, the next step seems pretty obvious. ![]() Passed the test as despite being the fan least favorite entry this Remaster was the best selling game in the series). ![]() Remaster Fatal Frame 5 and release onto everything (easiest to Remaster, cheapest to probably do, gauge if still interest in the IP. Click to shrink. This is just my on-going theory, but I kinda' suspect this is their floor plan with the series (and move onto the next step if the step before proves successful enough): ![]()
